'The groomsmen were handed a list of everyone who had a place': After Wedding Ceremony, Couple Surprises Guests by Revealing Only Some are Invited to the Reception
When you get invited to a wedding, you typically assume you're invited to the whole thing. Ceremony, dinner, and reception. However, some countries have different customs, and you may just be invited to the reception, while the ceremony is reserved for close family members. And in all truth, it's your wedding, so you can do whatever you want. What you shouldn't do, though, is not communicate to your guests which parts of the wedding they're actually invited to like this bride and groom did. On their wedding day, their ceremony was filled with all of their friends and family. But after the ceremony, it came as a shock when the couple handed the groomsmen a list of everyone who had a place at the reception - and it didn't include everyone there. The groomsmen were caught off guard and forced to read off a list of everyone who made the cut (sounds like you're trying out for a sports team if you ask me). Everyone whose name wasn't read had to leave. Let's just say it didn't go over well.
